Milford Village Walking tours

Discover the world famous model village of Milford in Co. Armagh with a walking tour. Built between 1837 and 1914 as a self sufficent village, it was the creation of the Mc Crum family, one if Ireland's premier linen manufacturing dynasties, the proprietors of the much celebrated firm of Mc Crum, Watson & Mercer Ltd. Today is internationally famous as the birthplace and home William Mc Crum who invented the penalty kick rule in football in 1890! For an enjoyable day out with a difference enjoy a walking tour with expert guides bringing to life the architecture and entertaining stories of residents who have lived here and our links with the Titanic! Tour includes visit to the William Mc Crum Park (where the penalty kick was invented).

Parking: Free parking available in the village at the William Mc Crum park in William Street.

Directions: Milford village is located two miles outside Armagh City. Follow signs for Monaghan and go out the Monaghan Road and entrance to Milford village is on left hand side.
